About Me

Twenty years ago, I started as a writer. What I've become is something harder to summarize: part strategist, part brand builder, part communications advisor to leaders trying to make a real difference in the world.

My work lives at the intersection of brand strategy and storytelling. I specialize in communications and marketing for nonprofits and social impact organizations: the kind of places where the mission is real, the stakes are high and the right words at the right moment genuinely matter. That's the work I love most.

Over the course of my career, I've helped mission-driven organizations raise over $200 million in philanthropic funding and led brand strategy and communications across some of the Pacific Northwest's most recognized social impact organizations.

At Philanthropy Northwest, I led a rebrand that repositioned the organization as a national voice influencing philanthropy. From there, I've built a communications function grounded in clear positioning, consistent narrative and disciplined earned media strategy resulting in a 50% increase in media engagement in six months, a $260K website redesign that grew visitors by 41% in three months, and a CEO social media strategy that grew following by 25% in six months.

If you're leading a mission-driven organization and want a communications partner who can help you get clear on your brand, tell your story with conviction and build the systems to make it stick, I'd love to connect.

“Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye.”
